It depends on your interest. Go through the websites of the institutes and see which course interests you more. Also, understand that in the first case you'll be a scientists whereas in the second you'll be an engineer. Think of your future plans. If you're going to do an MBA then go for IIT.

don't take M Sc in physics...it's hardworking branch...and not great pay...u may be like a teacher in a good institute if u do higher studies abroad..... on the other hand NIT trichy is a great collg....u r getting a great branch....it's avg. pckg is at par with many iits....gp for it...one thing i can assure u is u'll get bttr pay in NIT trichy ece then IIT knpr physics....and a bttr scope as well....

Yes,if u want to be an engineer go for Trichy,go for M.Sc Physics only if u like physics and want to hv deep knowledge of it.Vaise sushobhan had said it all.
