Cv is given by (fR/2). thus Cv = 3R/2 as monoatomic gas has 3 degrees of freedom. (only translational) using Cp - Cv = R, Cp = R+3R/2 = 5R/2.

thanx karthick for ur valuable information.... i just want to add that... prion is a proteinecous infective particle.. it has no covering no genetic material, nothing.. just a protein which causes a lot of problem.... they are considered to be misfolded proteins... eg. Kuru, jacob kruzfldt syndrome (plz check out the spellings.. i'm feeling very lazy at the moment to google it)
