Two particles A anb B ,each having a charge Q are palced at a distance d apart. where should a particle of charge q be palced on the perpendicular bisector of AB so ths it  experiences maximum force? What is the magnitude of this max force?

DUDE, take any distance x and find the force on the charge in terms of x.

Then diffrentiate it in terms of x and put it equal to zero and find x .

Then after finding x , put it in the force eqn to find the maximum force..!!

CHEERS ..!!

so let it be at a distance x from the half of line ab

the force will be         and this will be along the hpothenese    the horizontal components of te forces will cancel each other out

and the total force will be the sum of the vertical component of the forces  =

and here    r2=x2+d2/4                    and costhetha=

solving we get          Qx/(x2+d2/4)3/2

for MAXIMUM value     d/dx  x/(x2+d2/4)3/2=0

solve and get the answer

Renewed shall be blade that's broken
The crown less again shall be king.
