the energy contained in the photons of the emitted light is absorbed by the electrons in the things around. walls, furniture and even the human body, no substance is able to completely reflect the light incident upon it, it always absorbs some. and since the speed of light is very high, this absorption seems to happen in an instant.

LIGHT is just an electromagnetic wave with certain freequency limit... IF A CHARGE IS STATIONARY...ONLY ELECTRIC

FIELD IS PRODUCED......IF CHARGE IS MOVING AT CONSTANT SPEED.......ONLY MAGNETIC FIELD IS PRODUCED...........................

when change in electric field is occur......change in magnetic field occurs.....means electro - magnetic wave (light) is produced

when  we switch on the bulb electrons move with CONSTANT ACCELARATION( VARYING SPEED).......thus EM waveof

certain freequency(light) is produced..... when we switch off the bulb...... electrons move with CONSTANT

RETARDATION......and finally end at rest......so....EM wave don't produced..........

produced

When the bulb is on.... the electrical energy which is supplied gets converted to HEAT ENERGY and succesively to LIGHT ENERGY due to HIGH RESISTIVITY n HIGH MELTING POINT of tungsten filament..... but when the light is switched off THE SOURCE gets disconnected... and hence there is no conversion of energy interms of other... and so no light..  LIGHT  DOES NOT GO ANYWER IT DISAPPEARS....... same phenomenon in TUBELIGHT too......
