It states that for all liquids the entropy of vapourization is same i.e 87–88 J K−1 mol−1.Entropy of vapourization is the ratio of enthalpy of vapourization to the temperature.But this rule is not universal as there are many exceptions to this rule like water, ethanol do not meet the criteria of the law.But some follows it like benzene and choloroform.
