I was thinking in competetive exams we have to appear for objective questions so why not start a thread only dealing with that. We should post questions how silly(least expected) or how difficult it may be. So lets start posting questions and those who know the answers should answer them with proper explanations. The questions should be numbered properly. Try to ask questions mostly from previous years papers. Who all like this thread start contributing. If this thread is a success we can copy the same in other forums too.

So i am starting with question no.1

1.  The correct structure of   is

a) triagonal bipyramidal              b)octahedral

c)tetrahedral                                  d)square bipyramidal

Only change is eternal.

On drawing the structure the net dipole moment cancels out as the shape is planar and symmetric.

CS 2 has a Linear structure

C is surrounded by two sulhur atoms with double bonds

so net dipole moment is zero

It was really easy, you never needed to do the reactions, but just the oxidation number in KMnO4.
