vector V =6i+2j-2k

let any other vector U = i+j+k

component of V along U is given by [(V. u-hat)] u-hat

we know that modulus of U here is

V.U = (6*1)+(2*1)-(2*1)

   = 6

also

u-hat equals the vector u divided by its length



therefore required answer is = 

            =2i+2j+2k
