KE in ground state is 13.6ev

PE in ground state is 0

KE in excited state = -TE

                             =3.4ev

PE in excited state is 20.4 eV

ive already posted abt that..

this ques is coming up many times. Refer above and confirm here for any doubts..

so for the 1st excited state

Total energy = KE + PE = 23.8 eV

KE in excited state =3.4ev

PE in excited state is 20.4 eV


Everything could be explained scientifically, but it would make no sense. It is just like describing a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure!
