Students of premier medical institute JIPMER have have bagged the first and second prize at the national-level pediatric quiz competition held by the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP). MBBS students W.Vijai and S.Santhakumar bagged the first prize while PG (MD Pediatrics) students Dr Shruthi K Bharadwaj and Dr Sukanya Govindan emeged the runners up in the competition held at the IAP`s annual conference in Gurgaon on January 22, a JIPMER release said here today. These students had earlier cleared tough competitions at the college, divisional, state and south-zone levels. "This is a proud achievement for the institute in particular and also for the Union Territory of Puducherry in general`, the release said.
