rochelle's salt is sodium potassium tartarate. alkaline sodium potassium tartarate is Fehling's Solution B.

molecular formula: KNaC4H4O6·4H2O

Rochelle salt (potassium sodium tartrate, NaKC4H4O6)

 

it is a double salt used in Seidlitz powder; acts as a cathartic    !!!!!
