Catalogs Discussion Forums -> Algebra -> Find the 10th term of the given sequence, 5/34, 5/32, 5/30,............... -> Go to message
This Post 0 points    (Olaaa!! Perrrfect answer.   in 0 votes )   [?]

As it is clear by looking at the sequesnce that there is now change in numerator ..only denominator is decreasing with a common difference of 2 ..

So the 10th term can be imagined as  5/n
Where n is some number which we have to find out..

Since the denominator is generating a sequence  34 32 30 ..... which is in AP with common difference of -2
So n (which is 10th term) = a + 9 d ( a is first term and d is common difference)
Hence ... n = 34 -9(2)
hence n = 16

So the 10th term comes out to be = 5/16

False !

Since 1 is in radian ...when u convert it into degree ...then 1 will be equal to 53 degree

and similarly ..2 will be equal to 106

So tan(1) = positive and tan(2) = negative

Therefore tan(1) > tan(2)

Just a rough picture to show ...and proof that light is nothing but a wave carrying out infinte number of photons with it !
Carrying photons means ....light carry out its energy by packing it in photons ..!

(Just for fun ..when u go out on journey ...u pack your clothes in boxes ..That is what quantisation means ..! If each box has 10 clothes and you have arround 4 boxes...then total clothe u have is 40 ..!)

Similary Every light wave travels in a straight line with its energy packed in photons...! Number of photons determing how intense the light is ..!

Laser has very high intensity ..Means laser carry out large number of photons with  ..
Theory of Quantization says that ...Every wave has its energy quantized ..! Obviously In case of light what it is ??
Total sum of energy carried out by photons..!

If we have n photons ..total energy will be nhv ..! Where v is the frequency of the wave ..!
Now your point is that v is related to wave nature ...then why it determines the enrgy of photon which is of a particle nature ...

Answer is that ...the wave is nothing but collections of photons...as discussed ..So Energy of wave will be equally divided and distributed in the photons ..!

Quantum theory basically relate the wave nature with the particle nature :) ....So energy of wave can be given as total energy of photon....and one photon's energy can be determined by the wave's energy !
Ask your doubts further...!

I am CONFUZZLE

==================
Whether the function is  e(x^2)  or   (e^x)2

Because writing it as  e^x^2 has dual meaning ..! So a request to the owner of this post..please clarify it ..!

If it is
(e^x) ...then it is integrable as discussed by some of guys !
And answer can be caluclated by supposing e^x as t ..

But it it is
e(x^2)  then unfortunately it is considered to be as non-integrable function according to reimann integral theorem ...

It is basically very conceptual question !

(a)(a+1)(a+2)(a+3)(a+4)(a+5) = 720
(a)(a+1)(a+2)(a+3)(a+4)(a+5)=1X2X3X4X5X6     ( since 1X2X3X4X5X6=720 )

hence a = 1
And consecutive numbers equal to 1,2,3,4,5,6,

One mate has already answered  ... f(1) < 0

First of all lets write the co-efficients ..!

a = 1 , b = p  and c = q

SInce a > 0  the equation will open upward ...!

Hence for every x between root r1 and r2 ...the graph will have a negative value ..!
Given 1 lies between the root
So f(1) < 0

1 + p + q < 0

p+q < -1

And it will always be less than -1 ..never greater than -1 ..so please check out your question once again !

Work is also termed as energy !

Work done = F.dx
Energy = F.dx

And if suppose u are in motion ...then your potential enrgy will decrease and kinetic energy will increase...!

Hence Energy = -dU ( Potential Energy)

So - dU = F.dx

Hence F = -dU/dx  ( - term is important ...)

Impulse is given as the force acting for a small duration of time ...!

Like when your head collides with the wall then ( just consider for how much time your head and wall are in contact ...hardly in 0.05 sec )

So even for this duration u will feel a heavy force on your head...This force is Impulse ...

When the car will overtake the truck ...following quantities will be same!

1) Both will travel the same distance from the starting point....because ultimately the car  catches the truck..(let say h )

2) Both will travel for the same time because both are starting from at the same time .. ( let say t)

Applying equation for car !

Velcoity (initial) = 0
Acceleration = 2

SO , h = 0 + 0.5(2)(t)2
Hence  h = (t)

Now ...Apply the equation for the truck ..!

Since it travels with a constant velocity   10 , and upto time t hence the distance h will be

h = 10t
Compare both the equations ... 10t = t2

t = 10 sec..

And thus the distance will be 10*10 = 100 m
