The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has been constituted by the Government of Bihar in accordance with the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Act 1995. The Board presently conducts Combined Competitive Entrance Examinations (BCECE) for admission in Graduate level Vocational Courses in Medical stream available in the Universities, Colleges and Institutions of the State of Bihar as well as those situated outside Bihar against State Quota seats.



The Board also conducts Post Graduate Medical Admission Test (PGMAT) for admission in Post Graduate Medical Course in Medical Colleges of the State of Bihar.



Selection is made on merit in BCECE conducted at various centres in the State. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination will be held in two stages, usually in the month of May/ June. Separate merit list is prepared for general/reserved categories. List of successful candidates is notified in leading State newspapers /colleges.
