Educational Qualification

A pass in Intermediate Examination with Chemistry, Physics and Biology as subjects or appearance at 2nd year Intermediate Examination (10 + 2 pattern) conducted by the Bihar State Government, Education Department, with appropriate optional subjects or its equivalent thereto.



Minimum Age limit:

For Medical Stream, the minimum age must be 17 years as on 31st December, 2007 and

Domicile Restrictions: Residents of Bihar. Candidates whose parents are employees to Tata Iron & Steel Company are eligible to seek admission at Bihar Institute of Technology (BIT), Sindri only.



Reservation of seats: SC-14%,ST-10%,BC-10%, children of armed personnel-1 seat. Two seats in each college of Sindri, Muzaffarpur, Patna and Bhagalpur are reserved for those holding a diploma in Engineering. Seats are also reserved for Central Government nominees and for candidates belonging to States/Union Territories which do not have engineering colleges.
