Punjab Medical Entrance Test (PMET) is conducted by Baba Farid University of Medical Sciences for admission to MBBS, BDS courses in the medical colleges of Punjab Admission to medical courses in Chandigarh Medical College is made through CET conducted by Punjab University, held at Chandigarh, Ludhiana, and Chicago USA (for NRI candidates)



CMC Ludhiana has separate examination for admission to its medical courses. The Governor of Punjab authorize Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot to conduct the Punjab Medical Entrance Test , hereinafter called PMET, in the compulsory subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) for selection of candidates for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in various institutions, in the State of Punjab. The seats of the State quota in Government Institutes and that of the Government quota in private Institutes shall be filled out of the candidates as per their merit in the PMET of corresponding year.
