Examination Pattern
MCAT test is a 5.75 hr long test and there are four sections. Two sections are given in the morning and the next two after lunch break. MCAT schedule for the test day and allocated time for the same is mentioned below:

Physical Sciences

No. of questions- 77

Allocated time- 100 minutes

Verbal Reasoning

No. of questions- 60

Allocated time- 85 minutes

Writing Sample

No. of questions- 2 (30 minutes essay questions on “critical thinking”)

Allocated time- 60 minutes

Biological Sciences

No. of questions- 77

Allocated time- 100 minutes



The MCAT Examination is computerized these days. Thomson Prometric delivers the computerized MCAT on behalf of AAMC number of times every year, at hundreds of testing sites in North America and a few cities in Europe, Asia, Australia Africa and Middle East.
